Zabdawi earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from Michigan State University. He earned another master’s degree in applied mathematics, as well as his doctorate in engineering science, from the University of Toledo. He says that the field of mathematics particularly interests him because it is the “ultimate in intellectual freedom; the sky is the limit.”
