8月7日，戈登州立学院（Gordon State College）庆祝了首届夏季领导力发展学院（Summer Leadership Development Academy）的毕业典礼，为第一批全日制学生和第一代学生送上了祝福，他们准备在8月13日（周三）秋季学期开始之前，带领同龄人、指导同学，自信地驾驭大学。

该项目将选出的30名学生聚集在一起，进行为期两周的沉浸式领导力发展和大学导航培训。 It also included GSC’s FIRE course, a class designed to strengthen academic mindsets, align personal strengths with potential majors and sharpen problem-solving skills in chosen disciplines.

“Before students can lead others in the workforce, they must first learn to lead themselves,” said Dr. Stephen A. Raynie, dean of the School of Education, Arts and Humanities at GSC. “Strong leaders are strong students. 这mk体育是mk体育的首要目标。 We also want them to understand how to navigate the college in ways that work for them, using it as a powerful tool for their personal growth.”

The Summer Leadership Development Academy is part of GSC’s commitment to preparing students for success from the beginning of their academic journey. The program equips participants with the skills and confidence to serve as campus leaders, contribute to the college community and meet the region’s workforce needs.
