俱乐部体育 are not regulated by any intercollegiate association such as the NJCAA and do not have varsity status. Although club sports may not be as competitive as intercollegiate sports, they offer college athletes the ability to play at a competitive level without the time commitment generally required for a sport governed by the NJCAA. Since club sports consist of teams that are not affiliated with an intercollegiate association, these teams are supported by student activities, club advisors, student leaders, volunteers, and may be funded by participants through club fees.
